George Edward Vanhentenryck

George Edward Vanhentenryck Jr., a native of Chicago, Illinois and a resident of Seymour, Indiana passed away on Thursday, April 7, 2022 at Columbus Transitional in Columbus, Indiana. He was born on September 3, 1944 to the late George E. Vanhentenryck Sr. and the late Mae (Lathrop) Vanhentenryck. He was a Christian by faith. George will forever be remembered as a gentle man that was very affectionate and sweet. He was a hard working man that was quite the handy man. He loved his family very much loved and playing hide and seek with his grandchildren. He loved to cook and worked for over 20 years alongside his wife at Larrison's Restaurant in Seymour.
He is survived by his son, George Vanhentenryck III of Virginia, one daughter, Mica Cecil and her husband Gary of Bardstown, Kentucky. Three brothers, Joe Vanhentenryck, Victor Vanhentenryck and Pierre Vanhentenryck all of Linton, Indiana. Two sisters, Dorothy Berring of South Carolina and Jeannie Vanhentenryck of Bloomfield, Indiana. Four grandchildren, Bambi Hayfield, Tessa Cecil, Sarah Hodapp and Isabella Vanhentenryck and fiftteen great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife of over 55 years, Judy (Allman) Vanhentenryck and one sister, Ann Carol Brown.
