Edwina "Dee" Dewayne Crimmons

Edwina "Dee" Dewayne (Ballard) Crimmons, age 77, a native of Sellersburg, Indiana and a resident of Scottsburg,Indiana, passed from this life on Thursday, March 24, 2022 at Norton Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. She was born on September 8, 1944 to the late Cleo Ballard and the late Tina (Hopkins) Ballard. known by all who knew and loved her as "Dee", she was a Christian by faith and loved Jesus with all her heart, She loved and tried her best to follow the Golden Rule and would often ask "What Would Jesus Do" and would make sure everyone was told "Jesus loves you and so do I".
She loved shopping, especially Dillards and Goodwill. She was a wonderful cook and the family will forever treasure the memories of her "Pot Sal", lemon cake, pork chops and "Tata" casserole. She was kind, loving and very forgiving and did her best to live like Jesus. She is survived by her loving husband, Ken Crimmons of Scottsburg, Indiana, one son, Thomas "Clint" Harris of Scottsburg, Indiana, one daughter, Holly Richey and her husband Max of Lexington, Indiana. Four grandchildren, Summer Graham, Autmn Campbell, Shaina Richey and Eric Richey. Six great grandchildren and one great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 51 years, Thomas Charles Harris and one daughter, Twila Charwayne Harris.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 30, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Christensen - Hoagland Family Funeral Home. Visitation will resume on Thursday, March 31, 2022 from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM with services beginning at 1:00 PM and burial to follow at Lexington Cemetery.
